Financial Coaching

Kinetic Financial’s Financial Coaching service focuses on helping clients gain an in-depth understanding of their cash flow, expenditures, and savings habits, along with improving their overall financial literacy. The primary goal is to empower clients to make better financial decisions that reduce debt, increase savings, and take greater control of their financial future. This service helps clients identify spending areas where they can cut costs and redirect funds toward achieving their financial goals.

Our coaching process involves reviewing clients' bank and credit card statements in detail to uncover spending habits or behaviors that may be hindering their progress. Sessions typically last between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the client’s needs, and cover a range of topics, including budgeting, debt management, and spending adjustments. We often highlight food and health expenses as areas where small changes can lead to significant financial improvements, such as lowering medical costs over time. When appropriate, KF also recommends that clients meet with relevant professionals—such as doctors, nutritionists, or other specialists—to support their broader financial and personal well-being goals.

A number of financial coaching sessions are included in our ongoing financial planning services. For additional sessions, and for clients who do not choose us for ongoing financial planning the fee is $50 per session.

Financial Counseling

Kinetic Financial’s Financial Counseling service takes a more therapeutic approach to helping clients address the emotional and psychological aspects of their relationship with money. This service is designed for individuals and families who experience negative emotions—such as anxiety, stress, or shame—when discussing or managing their finances, which can create obstacles to achieving financial goals and reduce overall enjoyment of life. Financial counseling goes beyond basic budgeting and spending behaviors by focusing on the underlying thoughts and emotions that influence financial decisions, helping clients develop healthier mindsets around money.

While financial counseling is not therapy, it can be especially beneficial for individuals or couples facing financial disagreements or emotional roadblocks, such as those struggling with debt-related shame or anxiety about financial planning. It can also help families at an impasse over significant financial decisions, aiming to reduce conflict and foster productive conversations. Given that finances are a leading cause of relationship strain, this service focuses on bridging communication gaps before disagreements escalate into larger conflicts. When necessary, we may recommend that clients seek additional support from licensed mental health professionals to address more serious concerns.
